About this property
Hosted by Kindred Spaces
Set on a quiet residential street just south of the city centre, this recently refurbished two-bedroom home offers a calm, comfortable base for exploring York. Designed and furnished for relaxed stays, it suits couples, families, and small groups looking for space, walkability, and an easy arrival.
There's free on-street parking, a private enclosed patio to relax with a drink on the sunnier days, and excellent local amenities nearby. Sutherland Street feels tucked away while still being well connected to everything the city has to offer.
The Space
The house was fully refurbished in 2022 and aims to feel homely rather than temporary.
Downstairs, you’ll find an open-plan lounge, dining area, and kitchen that works equally well for short breaks or longer stays. The living area is comfortable and relaxing, with a smart TV and space to unwind after a day out. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a large fridge freezer, electric cooker and hob, microwave, toaster, washing machine, and a Nespresso coffee machine. Tea and coffee are provided.
Upstairs are two bedrooms:
• A main bedroom with a standard UK double bed
• A twin bedroom with two full single beds
The bathroom includes a full-sized bath with shower over, heated towel rail, and complimentary essentials. All linen and towels are provided.
To the rear of the house is a private, fully enclosed patio with a dining table and seating for four - ideal for breakfast or a relaxed evening meal in warmer weather.
Family-friendly touches
The house is well suited to families with young children. A high chair and travel cot are available, and the layout makes it easy to settle in without feeling cramped.

The city centre can be reached in around 20 minutes on foot, either directly or via a scenic walk along the River Ouse.
Local pubs and independent coffee shops are a short walk, along with everyday amenities such as a Co-op, butcher, and bakery.
York railway station is a short taxi ride away, making the house easy to reach even without a car.
Parking and access
Free on-street parking is available directly on the street, with no permit required. Guests have full access to the entire house and private patio throughout their stay.
